David is quickly becoming an Amazing Artist... He loves to create, and "knows" what he wants to see... I recently took him to El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach California, where we spent a good part of the afternoon sitting lakeside, sketching and experimenting with chalk pastels.David was determined to draw a purple car and a tow truck... not exactly what I was trying to teach him... so I suggested he sit and look around (see above photo) and then use that as his inspiration. He started off with a bridge (Monet-ish, don't you think?), he added trees and was quite true to the landscape...
He opened his sketchbook to a 2 page spread, and then...
he added the purple car crashing off the bridge and the tow truck....
I'm so proud of him!!!
